About the Author
I am a 38 year old mom of one awesome little boy. In a lot of ways, I am just like any other mom. I spend my days tackling a neverending list of household chores, trying to convince my husband (who would rather eat lard with a spoon) to try my latest recipe, and playing with our wonderfully weird child. In other ways, I look very different. I have a genetic disorder called marfan syndrome with hypermoblity. As a result, I have been a wheelchair user for several years. A combination of medications, surgeries and overall poor health caused me to lose all of my teeth a little over a year ago. Due to my condition, I am not able to wear traditional dentures.
